Our Specialty
In addition to serving businesses and individuals, Gerson & Associates has developed specialized expertise in accounting and auditing for labor unions and their affiliated multi-employer benefit plans. Our experienced professionals understand the unique financial and regulatory requirements these organizations face and help clients navigate the complex requirements of ERISA.
We currently serve more than 30 multi-employer benefit plans, many of which have been with us for more than 30 years. These plans range from approximately 130 to 3,600 participants, with assets ranging from less than $1 million to more than $500 million. Our clients rely on our specialized knowledge and experience to meet the rigorous requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL), Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC).
Our involvement goes beyond preparing financial statements and audit reports. We regularly attend trustee meetings and present our findings and reports clearly and professionally. We work directly with trustees, fund administrators and other professional advisors to help them understand their financial statements, the status of their plans and the issues that matter most to their organizations.
